Mr Samuel Edmund Commey (Member)

Mr Samuel Edmund Commey is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Transport (1996) and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (2011). He has held the position of General Manager, Ghana Airways in 2004 (Dussuldorf Branch), Head of the ACCA programme at Zenith University College, Accra from 2008 to 2011.

Mr Commey is a Lecturer in the following areas: Strategic Management, Management Accounting, Performance Management, Financial Reporting and  Financial  Management. He has consulted for Lion Aluminium Ltd and Manglad Roofing Ltd. Special courses attended include Airline Economics and Forecasting, Geneva I.AT.A. in 1985 and I. AT.. A. Strategic Marketing Management of General Sales Agent (GSA) in 1999.

Mr Commey possesses technical accounting skills in the following areas Analytical Skills in Business Strategies, Financial Statements Investments Projects and Risks, Information Systems, Evaluation of Projects, Performance Measures and Strategic Decisions, Computational Skills in Computerised Environments, Team Building in Project Management, Selection and Cultural Change Management. He has developed a tailor made airline accounting software for African World

Airline, Ghana which covers Management Performance Information System, Strategic Performance Measures and Control, Cost Analysis reports for decision making, Budget preparation and Control Systems, Product /Costumer/Segmental Profitability reports.
